1. Do services include light housekeeping, laundry, and vacuuming?
The short answer? YES! Our home care workers are trained to tidy up and assist your loved one in keeping a clean and healthy living space.
2. What does “light housekeeping” or "light cleaning" really mean?
It means dusting, vacuuming, and surface cleaning.
We understand how important it is for your loved one to have a clean and organized living space. That's why we go the extra mile to create a healthy environment by taking an eco-friendly approach to our light housekeeping services.
Here's a glimpse of the tasks our services cover:
- Dusting
- Sweeping
- Vacuuming
- Surface cleaning.
Our amazing caregivers are like cleaning superheroes, ensuring that clients' homes stay spick and span, free from dirt, allergens, and clutter. While they may not offer deep cleaning services, their primary goal is to create a space that promotes physical and mental well-being for our clients.
3. Does it include laundry?
Keeping up with laundry can be quite a daunting task for many of the clients we take care of. But fret not, because our incredible home care workers are here to lend a helping hand with all laundry-related tasks, which include:
- Sorting
- Washing
- Drying
- Folding
Our caregivers make it a point to follow the specific instructions given by the clients, ensuring that every garment is treated with utmost care and laundered according to their unique preferences. We also go to the laundromat for the consumers that don't have washers and dryers in their home. This not only helps maintain a clean and hygienic environment but also ensures that clients have the pleasure of wearing fresh and neatly folded clothes.
4. What about other things, like going to the grocery store?
Our caregivers are more than happy to help with necessary shopping on behalf of your client. They can use cash or prepaid grocery cards to make the purchases. Additionally, if your loved one wants to go out or has an appointment, our caregivers can provide transportation assistance to places such as:
- The grocery store
- The doctor’s office
- An appointment at the salon
- Or an outing with friends or family members
Important Note: Our caregivers are unable to use your loved one's credit or debit card, as well as drive their vehicles. Caregivers are trained to utilize gift cards or cash (up to $50) and promptly provide a report on the amount or return change from any grocery store visit. Additionally, caregivers are not permitted to transport your loved one in their car. Transportation is coordinated through reliable transportation services such as Paratransit/Connect, Uber, Lyft, Cab, or public transportation.
5. Supporting overall well-being
In addition to providing light housekeeping, laundry, vacuuming, errands, and transportation assistance, our compassionate caregivers go above and beyond to offer a wide range of comprehensive services aimed at enhancing the overall well-being of their clients. These services may include:
- Medication reminders
- Meal preparation
- Companionship
- Personal care assistance (such as bathing, grooming, and dressing)
- And assistance with mobility and exercises.
